KIMI was a huge surprise for me! First off, I’d give it 5 out of 5 stars. Insomnia had me up at 4am with nothing to do but press play and try to fall back to sleep before my alarm went off. But there was no sleeping for me, I ACTUALLY liked it. Wait- no I more than liked it. I’m going to have to watch it again (which is huge for me, because the # of times I’ve rewatched stuff is super low), just to get my thoughts together AND I have a lot of thoughts on KIMI. First, Zoe Kravitz was totally unexpected in this role for me. I realized that although I know what she does, I don’t know anything about her work. Of course, I’m aware of her as an actress I’ve just never seen any of her movies (at least I don’t remember them which I suppose says a lot too). KIMI has changed that for me because~ ZOE! Just the fact that she chose to do this project feels like a huge statement of her character, who she is, and her career. Either way I loved it, but I’m not saying any more. I won’t put any spoilers here, but I will be back. Just wanted to say WATCH THIS movie if you truly, truly like movies with #strongfemaleleads. I will be back, after I watch for a 2nd, or maybe even 3rd time 🙂 (there was just so much going on). ~SR
